Penn State University is investing approximately
$110 million in two new buildings for The Dickinson School of Law.
One building will be in Carlisle, PA; the other in State College,
PA on Penn State's flagship University Park campus.
Both buildings will be signature facilities reciprocally designed
and pervasively interconnected to enable the real-time delivery to
each location of the classes and programs of the other.
Each facility will boast state-of-the-art courtrooms, classrooms,
conferencing facilities, hearing rooms, reading rooms, gathering spaces,
and an auditorium designed for law school as well as public use.
Polshek Partnership
Architects is leading the design of the law school’s new
facilities. The New York-based firm is known for its architectural
excellence and commitment to cultural and educational institutions.
Hargreaves Associates
is developing the landscape design for both projects.
Expected occupancy of the new University Park building is December 2008.
Expected occupancy in the new Carlisle building is December 2009.
