Housing
Carlisle Campus
Affordable housing is readily available in the vicinity of the Law School. To assist you in your search for housing, the Administrative Services Office maintains a list of off-campus housing available for rent in the Carlisle area. The list is maintained as a courtesy and does not constitute a recommendation of the facilities. In addition to available rental properties, the housing list includes a section for those seeking roommates, as well as information on local realtors and apartment complexes in the area.
The office begins compiling the housing list in March and continues to update the list throughout the spring and summer months, as notices of available properties are received. In addition to being quite affordable, the Carlisle area provides ample rental options for accepted students throughout the admission cycle.
In addition to the Law School’s list, information regarding available housing is available through the Web site for The Sentinel, Carlisle’s local newspaper, or The Patriot-News – Harrisburg. Use the link to the “Classifieds” section to access the real estate sections for either paper.
University Park Campus
As with most major university towns, there is a wide range of housing options, depending on the budget and needs of the student. To assist you in your search, the University maintains extensive housing information on its Web site.
Law students who will be attending classes at University Park may apply for graduate housing at White Course Apartments, an on-campus community offering apartments for single students and students with families. A supportive staff and an excellent safety/security program help to make graduate life easier and more comfortable. Special activities and programs help residents get to know one another and form friendships that will last a lifetime.
Single student apartments house four students per four-bedroom apartment. Students with families may apply for one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments, depending on family size. Each apartment has its own kitchen and laundry facilities, and utilities, phone service, cable, and internet access are included in the rent.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and to download an application, visit the White Course Apartment Web site.
Those interested in off-campus housing, may secure information from the University’s Housing site. Just click on the “Off-Campus” housing link to search for available housing, a roommate, a property to purchase, or a list of local realtors. If you are searching for a roommate or have available space for a roommate(s), submit the information to jvh5@psu.edu and your posting will be added to the Law School's housing list compiled by the Administrative Office.
