The World Arbitration and Mediation Review (WAMR)
The World Arbitration and Mediation Review (WAMR) is a peer-reviewed journal with a law review format. It has a long-standing reputation in the international and domestic arbitration and ADR community. It was published as a Report for seventeen years; in the last year, it was converted into a Review. It, therefore, has a publication history that spans nearly two decades. Its readership is literally a worldwide audience, spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The professional editorial board consists of a group of distinguished lawyers and academics, active in arbitration and ADR throughout the world.
The WAMR provides deserving and qualified PSU law students with a challenging editorial experience. Students are supervised by the Editor-in-Chief and the Executive Editor of the publication. The Editor-in-Chief holds a distinguished professorship on the law faculty and the Executive Editor is a staff lawyer with more than twenty years of professional experience with considerable linguistic and editorial skills. Students are awarded academic credit for their work.
WAMR covers domestic and international developments in both arbitration and ADR by publishing scholarly and professional articles, thorough summaries of leading cases, bibliographic and other documents, and a calendar of events. WAMR is published six times a year and is a leading publication in the field. At least two issues (or their equivalent) are devoted to arbitration and ADR in the United States. The U.S. Supreme Court remains active in this subject area and continues to favor the recourse to arbitration. Arbitration and ADR are a large and growing part of U.S. law practice. WAMR fulfills the need for professional discussion and academic instruction.
