About Professor Del Duca
Professor Louis Del Duca's faculty profile boasts an impressive list of achievements in several areas of the law. However, it was his enthusiasm for international comparative law and his passion for travel and cultural exposure that led him to establish Penn State Dickinson's summer programs in Europe more than twenty years ago.
As one can imagine, Professor Del Duca has established an extensive network of international colleagues and contacts over the years. As a result, it is the students who participate in these programs who reap the benefits. Whether it is being guided through the historic art treasures of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence by Professor Del Duca's friend, Dott. Franco Sottani, President of the Florence Institute for Art Preservation and Restoration, or having lunch with members of the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, you are sure to be impressed by the high caliber of scholars and practitioners involved in the programs. Professor Del Duca has come to know the cities and small villages visited in the summer programs as his “second homes.” As a result, he can direct you to the best teahouse in Oxford or the most talented barber in San Gemignano! Not only will you return from the programs with an increased understanding of international and comparative law; but you will also have had the opportunity to truly savor the culture of some of the most exciting cities in Europe through Professor Del Duca's guidance.
