The Hague Brussels Luxembourg Strasbourg Vienna sites offer students unique opportunities to study vital comparative and international law issues through the eyes of experts heavily immersed in resolving such issues.
THE HONORABLE ANTONIN SCALIA, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will be the Distinguished Guest Jurist in a course on Separation of Powers. This course will be added to the regular curriculum of The Penn State Dickinson School of Law’s The Hague Brussels Luxembourg Strasbourg Vienna 2009 Summer Program. Justice Scalia will present the one-credit course in Strasbourg from Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 16. Justice Scalia was nominated to the Supreme Court in 1986. Before that, he served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. His career has also included teaching law at the University of Virginia, Georgetown University, the University of Chicago, and Stanford University, as well as government service as general counsel in the Office of Telecommunications Policy, and then as chairman of the Administrative Conference of the United States, and as assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel.
