Professor Beth Farmer named editor of ABA antitrust treatise

Professor Beth Farmer has been appointed to serve as an editor of the American Bar Association's publication State Antitrust Practice and Statutes. While her official appointment begins in September, Professor Farmer said that she has been working on the treatise for the past year. The leadership appointment was made by the chair elect of the ABA's Antitrust Law Section, Christopher Hockett.

"My work with the drafters and in editing selected state chapters dovetails nicely with my research and teaching interests," Professor Farmer said. She added that the chapters she is editing (which include Massachusetts, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Utah) detail the work of the individual states and also discuss multi-state activity as well as private cases.

Professor Farmer continues in her role as non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN), and she continues researching other regional cooperative networks that share information, expertise, and cooperate in enforcement in some models including the ECN (European Competition Network), COMESA Competition Commission (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa), and the Regional Competition Centre for Latin America. Professor Farmer also is a  contributor to the newsletter published by Competition Policy International Journal
