Reference Service
The common plea of law students and legal professionals
everywhere… “I need research assistance!”
The Law Librarians at the Penn State Dickinson School of Law have heard your pleas and are here to help! Studying in the library? At home? At your favorite coffee shop? We can still help! Contact us online, via e-mail, call us, or visit us at the law school.
Online question submission — The Common Plea Reference Service may be used by Penn State Dickinson School of Law students, faculty and alumni by clicking here. You will receive a response on the following business day, excluding University holidays.
Call us at (717) 240-5267 or (814) 865-8861 and ask for a reference librarian if you have a simple question that can be handled over the phone. Or, if you prefer, you may contact a librarian directly to set up an individual consultation.
Visit us in the Advantica Building in Carlisle or the Beam Building in University Park. Reference librarians are available Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding University Holidays. Individual appointments may be set up directly with a reference librarian or requested via the web form or through e-mail.
