http://www.bts.gov/ - As part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, the BTS is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of transportation data. The web site provides information on data, programs, laws and regulations, and more.

http://www.dot.gov/ - The U.S. Department of Transportation, created by act of October 15, 1966, establishes the nation's overall transportation policy. Under its umbrella there are 11 administrations whose jurisdictions include highway planning, development, and construction; motor carrier safety; urban mass transit; railroads; aviation; and the safety of waterways, ports, highways, and oil and gas pipelines. Decisions made by the Department in conjunction with the appropriate state and local officials strongly affect other programs such as land planning, energy conservation, scarce resource utilization, and technological change.

The portal provides access to disability-related information and programs available across the government on numerous subjects, including civil rights, education, employment, housing, health, income support, technology, transportation, and community life. - Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
