The following sites can be used as gateways to law related resources. Of most importance is the organizational structure these sites impose on the Web. They each provide an impressive array of links to legal information and their user friendly subject arrangements provide easy navigation throughout the Internet.


American Law Sources On-Line

Their stated purpose is to "provide a comprehensive, uniform, and useful compilation of links to freely accessible on-line sources of law for United States, Canada and Mexico." Focus is on US, Canadian, and Mexican federal and state legal resources. Some of these resources are also in French and Spanish.


America's Law Links: Comprehensive Resources Linking the Legal Community

Aim is to provide a place for all people interested in the law to congregate and obtain information. Users can conduct research, generate referrals, purchase legal products, collaborate, and recruit. Separate centers for attorneys or consumers.


Cornell Legal Information Institute

An award winning pioneer in the electronic dissemination of legal materials. Provides useful background commentary and full text of U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeal and N.Y. court decisions, the UCC, the U.S. Code, and selected state and federal laws. Also noted for its extensive links to law related sources worldwide.

Emerging as the favorite gateway to legal resources. Well organized, comprehensive arrangement of law sites, including primary and secondary sources. Site for LawCrawler, a Google-powered legal search engine.


Hieros Gamos

Billed as the largest comprehensive legal site with over 50,000 links to US federal and state law, legal organizations, and every government in the world. Also includes links in over 200 practice areas, 300+ discussion groups, and 50 doing business guides.


LexisOne.com

Free access to recent caselaw, forms, and 16,000 legal related links. Caselaw coverage is from January 1, 1996 to current for the two highest courts in each state and all federal circuit courts, plus complete coverage (from 1789) for U.S. Supreme Court cases.

A collection of materials and pointers to law related Internet sources. Includes U.S. and state government links, law journals, legal organizations, law firms, law schools, and publishers.

Maintained by the staff of the Washburn Law Library, this is one of the most extensive legal sites currently available on the Web. It links to law schools, law firms, international, state and federal materials, directories, news sources, and much more.
