Journals
Penn State Dickinson School of Law students edit and publish four scholarly journals: the Penn State Law Review, founded in 1897 and one of the oldest continually published law school journals in the country; the Penn State International Law Review, which focuses on issues of private and public international law; Penn State Environmental Law Review, a forum for articles on environmental law; and The Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation, an annual summary and assessment on developments in arbitration law and alternative dispute resolution. Students transferring to the Dickinson School of Law after their first year of law study at another ABA approved law school are eligible to compete for membership on the student run journals. Transfer students interested in competing for law review should review the Law Reviews' Collective Policy Regarding Transfer Students.
Editorial board members for each of these journals are selected based on scholastic performance and demonstrated ability to do superior legal research and writing.
The Law School’s Institute for Arbitration Law and Practice oversees the publication of The Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation (an annual summary and assessment of U.S. developments in arbitration and ADR), and periodically AAA Handbooks on arbitration and ADR.
