Seminars
A course titled Seminar must:
- be limited in enrollment to no more than 20 students;
- ordinarily be taught by a member of the permanent, full-time faculty or by a faculty member who is a visitor for an entire academic year; and
- provide advanced instruction in and synthesize subject matter and concepts to which a student has previously been exposed. A student's grade in a Seminar must be based on a paper or papers requiring substantial research and totaling at least 10 pages (exclusive of notes) per credit and oral classroom work different in both kind and degree from that ordinarily expected in other courses.
