Speakers Trust Meeting — December 4, 2003

MINUTES:
- Outlaw Proposal for funds to host Stacy Sobel on February 11, 2003 for $500.
Ms. Sobel will be Outlaw's first speaker. She is willing to speak on a variety of topics including the recent Massachusetts Gay Marriage legislation, the military's “don't ask don't tell policy” and the Texas supreme court case re: sodomy … to be decided through conversations between Outlaw and Ms. Sobel.
Honorarium = $300 + travel costs, and costs for reception
- Invitations to speakers from the Trust
- Letter to Senator Mitchell from Paul to propose a $10,000 honorarium to go out once a potential date has been determined.
- Letter to Tom Ridge from Paul to go out once a potential date is determined. Tim will also put in a call to his scheduling office.

- Lee Bollinger – President of Columbia University – free speech issues; affirmative action cases that went before the Supreme Court last year ( University of Michigan and Michigan 's law school)
- Abigail to contact his office over break to see if he will do speaking engagements this academic year.

- Potential Conference/Symposium: Establishing the Rule of Law in a Post Conflict Situation
- Has been discussed with some Dickinson College professors already
