classmates.

Approximately 30 people attended
the speaking event last week.

LLSA representative attended
to request $250 in retroactive funding for
dinner and reception.

This was approved.

The misunderstanding of
funding for honorariums as compared to
receptions and food was discussed.

LLSA hopes to have another
speaker in spring semester.

Communication about Speakers Trust
funding

Charlie will draft an e-mail
to students and organization representatives
to clarify the purpose of Speakers Trust for
focusing on supporting honorariums.

Since the year began with
some miscommunication to student organizations,
there will be funding allowed for receptions,
however it will be more closely examined and
expected to be detailed.

Jason is updating the funding
request form to reflect the request for more
detail.

In the meantime, The Speakers
Trust bylaws will be updated for next year
to reflect the organization’s purpose
in supporting honorariums.

Charlie expressed the idea
of contacting Eliot Spitzer.

Rendell back.
