DRC Meeting Minutes — November 11, 2004, 6:30 p.m.

Reagan Day: Now scheduled for Sunday 2/6/05 (subject to change); committee needed and sign up sheet was passed around. We may look into getting funding from the Speakers’ Trust?) This event includes a speaker and wine and cheese!!

Meetings: Discussed having meetings at Market Cross and pot-luck dinner meetings.

DRC Elections: President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications positions. Elections will be held sometime in the spring.

Spring Football/Softball game w/ the Democrats will be looked into.

Inauguration and CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference; February 17-20, 2005) in DC: Discussed going as a group. Look for an email on CPAC by Thanksgiving.

Open Forum: We discussed the overwhelming Republican victory; the visits by Mayor Giuliani, Senator Dole, President Bush, Hannity, and YP4W events; our opinions on what the DRC could have done during the election season (i.e. organizing trips to rallies, an election night party); and our thoughts on recent news issues.

Three Carlisle Borough positions will be vacant in spring.
