John Reed Inn of Phi Delta Phi

This legal fraternity is one of the oldest international legal fraternities and can be found on many of the top law school campuses. Some of the notable members include President Gerald Ford and the late Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Currently, the fraternity has 131 active Inns in the Western Hemisphere. Acting as the world’s largest legal fraternity, PDP has initiated over 200,000 members. The John Reed Inn has 41 active members.

As the mission of the organization from its establishment in 1869 has been to promote a higher standard of professional ethics, each year PDP participates in ethics week. Members of the John Reed Inn have also traditionally participated in various philanthropic activities each year with groups such as Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and Toys for Tots. In addition, PDP hosts a Diversity Day buffet lunch and a welcome BBQ for the incoming 1Ls. Furthermore, while giving back to the local and regional community, the fraternity organizes academic events, such as study and final preparation sessions for the 1L class.

We hope that the new school year will bring increased support from faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as an increase in the membership at both campuses.
