Clinical Professor Megan Riesmeyer is the director of the Community Law Clinic and supervising attorney for the Children’s Advocacy Clinic. Prior to her academic career she worked in private legal practice, specializing in family law, bankruptcy, and dependency matters. Active in the Cumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and area nonprofits, Professor Riesmeyer also serves on the board of the Community Justice Project. She is a past member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute.
Before pursuing a legal career, she was as a caseworker for Children and Youth Services in Pennsylvania. Her research interests focus on judicial treatment of indigent parties in family law matters and recent changes to the Protection From Abuse laws within Pennsylvania.
