Mark W. Podvia

Associate Law Librarian and Legal Research Professor Mark Podvia provides reference services and teaches Legal Research. As Archivist, he supervises the collection of materials related to the Law School's history.

Professor Podvia is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the Society of American Archivists, the Pennsylvania Library Association and the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He has published articles on legal research and writing and on the history of The Dickinson School of Law and was a primary author of Cumberland Justice: Legal Practice in Cumberland County, 1750-2000. He is past president of the Interlibrary Delivery Service of Pennsylvania and is past chair of the Legal History and Rare Books Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries.
