As coordinator of clinical skills, Professor Sara
Krome supervises the field placement program at the
University Park campus and assists in evaluating and
developing other clinical opportunities for students
on that campus. Students in the field placement program
gain valuable hands on experience through their placements
in judges’ chambers, state and local government
offices, and public service and non profit organizations.
Her practice experience includes extensive work in
public interest law. She has worked in legal services
offices in North Carolina and Ohio, and provided training
and litigation support for legal services attorneys
in South Carolina as well as policy advocacy for low-income
residents of South Carolina. Previous law school positions
include director of communications at the University
of South Carolina School of Law, director of in-house
clinical programs at the University of Richmond School
of Law, and a fellowship at Georgetown University
Law Center’s Center for Applied Legal Studies.
