The key to our rich and meaningful academic experience
is an accomplished and diverse faculty. Our professors are
active and engaged scholars whose varying experiences and
areas of expertise support an intense and comprehensive
legal curriculum.
This year, we are pleased to welcome the following distinguished
law professors to our faculty: Professor
Katrice Bridges, an expert on constitutional law and
white collar crime; Professor
Preston C. Green III, a leading scholar of school choice,
educational access and school finance who holds a joint
appointment with Penn State’s College of Education;
and Professor
Samuel C. Thompson Jr., the Law School's new Arthur
Weiss Distinguished Faculty Scholar, one of our nation's
most prominent and highly regarded scholars of tax and mergers
and acquisitions law.
Additional recent faculty hires include the preeminent
authority on Russian legal systems; a Rhodes
Scholar whose name is synonymous with the scholarship of
international and domestic arbitration; an expert
in feminist jurisprudence, criminal law and federalism;
a former
senior legal advisor to the European Union presidency
who holds a joint appointment at the University of London’s
Queen Mary College; a senior
official of the United Nations and African Union; and
one of the nation’s most important emerging scholars
of gay rights. |
