Carlesha Green Halkias has extensive experience in disability law. For seven years she was a staff attorney at the Disability Rights Network in Harrisburg, PA, where she represented clients and their interests in administrative hearings, education proceedings, federal mediation, and other aspects of federal litigation. She has provided assistance to clients about their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Rehabilitation Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Housing Act, Medicaid, Mental Health Procedures Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Professor Halkias is now the Deputy City Solicitor at the Harrisburg Law Bureau, where she manages day-to-day operations and matters in labor, employment, municipal, contracts, criminal, and real estate law. 

She teaches Disability Law.
