David C. Cleaver teaches Pennsylvania Probate Practice and has been an adjunct professor at the Law School for almost forty years. He is of counsel with Keller, Keller, Frey & Beck, LLC in Waynesboro, PA, where his practice areas include wills, estates, and real estate.

Professor Cleaver is state solicitor for the Pennsylvania State Association of Registers of Wills and Clerks of the Orphans Court. He is the author of Volume 19 and 19A of West's Pennsylvania Practice Series, entitled Pennsylvania Probate and Estate Administration. Volume 19 is a comprehensive text dealing with practice and procedures involved in probate and the administration of a decedent's estate. Volume 19A, which also comes with a CD, contains dozens of forms the practicing attorney can utilize in the probate and estate administration process. Professor Cleaver is also the author of Cases and Materials on Wills and Decedents Estates (1976) and Pennsylvania Probate Practice, with Forms (1st edition, 1983; 2nd edition, 1993; 3rd edition, 2000). He is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.

While a student at the Law School, Professor Cleaver was editor of The Dickinson Law Review and a recipient of the Abel Klaw Advocacy Award.
