Legal Research Professor Laura J. Ax-Fultz is the Access Services Librarian for the H. Laddie Montague Jr. Law Library. She teaches legal research in the first year curriculum; guest lectures in the upper level courses, and is a coordinator and instructor in the Practice Oriented Research Tips and Training Certificate program. In addition, she provides research assistance on a wide variety of topics from general questions to specific guidance on the navigation of online resources. She is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Pennsylvania Library Association and serves on several committees in both organizations.

She enjoyed a career in private legal practice, in Pennsylvania, focusing on family law, criminal law, and appellate work. While maintaining an active law practice, she pursued a master’s of science in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Before returning to Penn State Law, she was the law librarian at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Wilmington, Delaware.
