Timothy J. Woolford, Esq.

Mr. Woolford teaches Construction and Surety Law.  He is the founding member of Woolford Law, P.C., a law firm that provides legal services exclusively to the construction, design and real estate development industries. Woolford Law's clients include prominent general contractors, subcontractors, project owners, design professionals and real estate developers. The firm has a thorough understanding of the construction, design and development industries and counsels its clients on strategies that can transform a troubled project into a successful one. Mr. Woolford represents construction professionals in all aspects of the construction process, including project planning and approvals, contract creation and negotiation, consultation on day-to-day construction issues, claims preparation and dispute resolution. Mr. Woolford is frequently involved in disputes regarding such matters as contract balance entitlement, acceleration, delay damages, inefficiency/productivity damages, change order disputes, improper liquidated damages assessments, bid protests and bid withdrawals and construction defect litigation. He regularly represents parties in construction disputes for amounts ranging from $50,000 to $50 million. Mr. Woolford is widely experienced in representing construction professionals in state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and disputes before the Board of Claims.

Mr. Woolford is a frequent contributor to regional and national publications and regularly speaks on important construction-related topics. He also holds seminars for construction professionals on construction project documentation, effective contract negotiation and other topics. Mr. Woolford is a member of the American Bar Association, Construction Litigation Section; Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Keystone Chapter; American Subcontractors Association of Central Pennsylvania; Construction Financial Managers Association, Central Pennsylvania Chapter; United States Green Building Council of Central Pennsylvania, and other construction-related organizations. Mr. Woolford is a 2007 recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award, which recognizes forty young professionals for their success and strong leadership in their field.

He received his B.A., from the University of Michigan in 1991 and his J.D., from The Dickinson School of Law in 1996. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
