An active insurance defense litigator for twenty years, Ms. Joyce represented physicians, nurses and hospitals in medical malpractice actions. The experience of practicing in various central Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas forms the foundation of the advanced pre-trial advocacy class that she currently teaches. Working with insurance company clients as well as the direct health care providers, provided a wealth of medical, legal and technical expertise which is now shared in the classroom to prepare today's law students for the practical application of their skills. In addition, Ms. Joyce's insurance background as a staff attorney for a major medical liability carrier, provides much of the material for the insurance law course.
