Nicholas Bybel Jr.

Nicholas Bybel Jr. is a founding partner in the law firm of Bybel Rutledge LLP, Harrisburg, PA where his practice focuses on corporate law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, financial institution regulation, corporate structuring, strategic planning, and capital formation.

He is a member of the adjunct faculty of The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University where he teaches a course in mergers and acquisitions. Recent publications include “The Role of the Board of Directors in Merger and Acquisition Scenarios,” “A Company’s Duties and Obligations under the Securities Laws,” and “Strategic and Capital Planning to Enhance Long-Term Shareholder Value.”

Mr. Bybel has spoken at numerous conferences focused on the financial services industry and is course planner for annual conferences addressing mergers & acquisitions and SEC compliance issues for publicly-traded corporations.

Mr. Bybel is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and before the United States Supreme Court and United States Tax Court.

He received his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation (with emphasis on securities law) from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Albright College, Reading, PA.

Prior to forming Bybel Rutledge LLP, Mr. Bybel was shareholder and chair of the corporate and financial services department at the law firm of Shumaker Williams, P.C., Camp Hill, PA.
