Save the Date — Friday, January 30, 2009! Penn State University’s Dickinson School of Law Center for Immigrants’ Rights will host its first immigration symposium on Friday, January 30. The day-long symposium, titled “Immigration in a New Administration,” will be held in the Law School’s new Lewis Katz Building in University Park, PA.
The symposium will be followed by a reception to celebrate the inaugural year of the Center for Immigrants’ Rights and to recognize our clients and the many faculty, staff, students, advocates, and lawyers who have supported the Center.
Timed on the heels of the presidential inauguration, we are excited to provide panel discussions on “The Immigration Debate,” “Due Process and Detention,” “Immigration Enforcement and Security,” and “Asylum and Refugee Issues.” Confirmed speakers include:

Save the Date — Saturday, January 31, 2009! Penn State University Dickinson School of Law’s Center for Immigrants’ Rights will be hosting a State Advocates Meeting. The meeting will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and brunch will be served. The event will be held in the new Lewis Katz Building on the scenic Penn State University campus in State College, PA.
The state advocates meeting will be preceded by the “Immigration in a New Administration” immigration symposium being held on Friday, January 30, 2009. We encourage everyone who is interested in immigration law and policy to attend both.
