Kilmer v. Elexco Land Services, Inc.: On June 16, 2009, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court granted a petition for Extraordinary Jurisdiction to hear the case involving the interpretation of the state’s Minimum Royalty Act (58 P.S. § 33).
In Re: Agricultural Security Area in East Lampeter Township: On May 27, 2009, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court upheld a ruling that ordered the approval of an Agricultural Security Area in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County.
Commonwealth v. Richmond Township: On May 22, 2009, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court ruled in favor of the Pennsylvania Attorney General in an action filed under ACRE. The court dismissed a motion for judgment on the pleadings filed by Richmond Township, ruling that factual issues remained to be resolved.
