Leading Arbitration Expert Joins Penn State Dickinson

Carlisle, PA (January 3, 2004) — Thomas E. Carbonneau joined Penn State Dickinson in January 2003 as The Elsie de Renzo and Samuel P. Orlando Distinguished Professor of Law.

Previously, Professor Carbonneau was the Moise S. Steeg Jr. Professor of Law at Tulane University School of Law and a former Director of Tulane’s Eason-Weimann Institute of Comparative Law.

Professor Carbonneau commonly is regarded as one of the world’s leading scholars of international and domestic arbitration. A former Rhodes Scholar, he is the author of nine books and more than seventy-five scholarly articles. Professor Carbonneau is the Editor-in-Chief of the World Arbitration and Mediation Report and the Journal of American Arbitration, and he is on the editorial board of La Revue de l’Arbitrage. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Paris Panthéon/Assas.
