Law School's BLSA Chapter Named 2003-2004 Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association Chapter of the Year
Carlisle, PA (January 26, 2004) — The Penn State Dickinson School of Law's BLSA chapter was named the 2003-2004 Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association (MABLSA) Chapter of the Year at the 2004 MABLSA Regional Conference, held January 22-25 in Virginia Beach, VA. Penn State Dickinson BLSA was chosen for the honor based upon the chapter's extensive chapter events, community service programs, and positive contributions to the law school community. The chapter submitted a scrapbook chronicling their events and activities.
In addition, three of our BLSA representatives were elected to the 2004-2005 MABLSA Regional Board: Lynval Gray, Regional Newsletter Editor/Historian; Kristi Johnson, Attorney General; and Quo Mieko S. Judkins, Regional Executive Director.
Penn State Dickinson competed against the 24 additional Mid-Atlantic law schools from the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The Law School's BLSA chapter will compete for national honors at the 36th Annual NBLSA National Convention in Boston March 17 - 21.
