The Law School Endowment
Penn State Dickinson's endowment is sustained through the long-term generosity of alumni and friends whose capital resources are vital to the endowment's future. The income generated through endowment gifts, combined with current contributions, supplements tuition revenues to provide the broad-based fiscal foundation essential not only for the enhancement of our physical facilities, but for the program-related flexibility that will keep Penn State Dickinson on the cutting edge of legal education.
There is an ongoing effort, coordinated by the Development Office, to stimulate larger gifts to the general endowment and other restricted-purpose funds through the use of tax planning and deferred giving techniques. Testamentary bequests have historically been a significant source of funds for the school, and there is a continuing program to promote awareness of the benefits of such gifts. The Development Office is also engaged in the solicitation of contributions from corporations, law firms, charitable trusts and private foundations.
