Personal Statements

The Admissions Committee requires that you submit at least two examples of written expression.

The first submission is your personal statement. Though we strongly suggest that you discuss factors that relate directly to your reasons and desire to pursue a legal education, the committee gives you the opportunity to freely discuss a topic of your choice. Please limit your personal statement to two pages of double-spaced type.

There are many similarities among the nation’s law schools, however, we feel it is important that applicants are able to identify and articulate characteristics that attract them to the various schools to which they apply. Therefore, in the second statement the Admissions Committee requires that you specifically address your reasons for applying to Penn State Dickinson. Please limit your statement to one page of double-spaced type.
