Scholarship Opportunities

We award merit-based scholarships to outstanding LL.M. applicants. Typical awards range in size from $3,000 to $5,000 U.S. All applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships and no separate scholarship form is required. No special application is required.

Non-U.S. residents usually do not qualify for U.S. government-sponsored student financial aid. However, many privately funded scholarship sources are available to international students. Students are strongly encouraged to begin the scholarship search as soon as possible in order to meet application deadlines. Our LL.M. Admissions Office maintains a listing of private scholarship information, which is available upon request.

Penn State Law Argentina Scholarship

Becas Chile Scholarship & Penn State Law Chile Scholarship

Penn State Law will award one $10,000 tuition scholarship to an admitted student from Chile for either Spring 2014 or Fall 2014 semester. No special application is required.

Postgrad Solutions


Penn State Law also partners with Postgrad Solutions which offers LL.M. need-based scholarships. You can find more information here.  Postgrad Solutions is offering two Global LL.M. Study Bursaries and two U.S. LL.M. Study Bursaries. They are open to international students and aim to help students fund their chosen master of laws program.

Taiwan


Penn State Law logoThrough the Taiwan Ministry of Education several Taiwanese cities fund interest-free student loans for study abroad starting in 2013. The funds can be used for study at Penn State Law. The purpose of the interest-free loan program is to encourage Taiwanese students from 20 to 40 years old to pursue advanced and professional studies overseas. More information can be found here 

The city of Changhua has announced its own program, which will distribute approximately $150 million USD to local students in the next 12 years, with no payback for 3 years plus an extended payment period of up to 16 years. More information can be found here.
